The small print
Privacy, affiliate links and the boring-but-important bits, in plain words. Last updated November 2026.
What we collect
Nothing about you. There are no accounts, no cookies, no ad trackers and no newsletter sign-up (yet). Your quiz answers stay on your screen and disappear when you leave the page; we never see them.
Who else sees your visit
- Cloudflare hosts the site. Like any web host, it handles the technical details of each request (such as your IP address) to deliver the page and keep the site secure.
- Google Fonts supplies our typefaces, so your browser asks Google's servers for the font files.
- Amazon: when you click a book link you leave the Love Desk, and Amazon's own privacy rules apply there, including the cookies it uses to credit us for a purchase.
Affiliate links
As an Amazon Associate, The Love Desk earns from qualifying purchases. Some book links are affiliate links: if you buy through them, we earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. It never decides which books we recommend.
Pictures
Book covers come from Open Library and belong to their publishers; we show them to recommend the books. The photographs and illustrations on our articles are made for the Love Desk with AI image tools; the people in them are not real.
Advice, not therapy
The Love Desk is written for adults. Our articles are general information and opinion, not professional, medical or legal advice. If something is affecting your health, talk to a doctor. If you're not safe in a relationship, you deserve real help: in the US call 1-800-799-7233 (National Domestic Violence Hotline); in the UK call 0808 2000 247 (National Domestic Abuse Helpline).
How it's made
Articles are written with the help of AI tools, then researched, checked and edited by our editorial team. More on the About page.
